Light up your essential Mini Cuban cigars and join us on this journey of events that will surprise you like never before.
Football and Racing Fever
After a four-year wait, one of the world’s most important sporting events is back: a new edition of the World Cup. Organized by FIFA, this competition will be held in June and July in different cities in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. This will be the first edition in history with three host countries, as well as the longest, with a total of 104 matches in 38 days.
But it’s not all about soccer. The Formula 1 season will bring us an exclusive premiere: the Madring. Located at the IFEMA exhibition center in Madrid, this new circuit will host the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix, offering us 5.4 kilometers of track, with 22 turns and 57 spectacular laps. The Spanish Grand Prix will be held on September 13 and will be the 16th race of the season.
A Year of Major Adaptations and Shows
The 2026 movie lineup is full of major productions. On the one hand, we have the eagerly awaited The Odyssey, directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Matt Damon and Anne Hathaway. Filmed entirely for IMAX, the film opened ticket pre-sales in July 2025, becoming the first feature film in history to sell seats a year in advance.
At the end of 2026, we can also look forward to Dune: Messiah, the third installment of Frank Herbert’s saga directed by the acclaimed Denis Villeneuve, and Avengers: Endgame, where we will see the return of the main Avengers. Be sure to choose your showtimes carefully, as both titles are released on the same day: December 18.
As far as festivals go, we can look forward to four new editions of Tomorrowland, the world’s biggest electronic music festival. This time, the main event will take place in Thailand, marking the first time the festival has been held in Asia. Tickets will go on sale this January.
(Another) Trip to the Moon
Finally, we come to one of the most eagerly awaited scientific milestones of 2026: the launch of Artemis II. Led by NASA, this manned space mission is part of the Artemis Program and will be the first to navigate around the Moon since 1972. For 10 days, the Orion spacecraft will carry its four astronauts on a free return trajectory around the Moon and back to Earth. Are we close to a new moon landing?
The year has just started, and we already have events we can’t miss. From the World Cup to the Artemis II mission, 2026 offers a wide range of events for all tastes… But there is still much to discover: what will be the music album of the year? Who will win the Oscars? What new experiences await us on Mini Night during the next Festival del Habano? And, above all, what will your Cuban mini cigars of 2026 be? We can’t wait to find out!
