On the night of Saturday December 2nd 2023, in a dazzling display of elegance, the premium cigar distributor Phoenicia Cyprus hosted a prestigious event at the exclusive location of City of Dreams Mediterranean in Cyprus to present new launches of Cuban cigars.
The show brought together approximately 450 guests of Cuban tobacco aficionados from all over the world, such as Lebanon, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Malta, Italy, France, Spain, Germany, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Netherlands, Kuwait, Bulgaria, Canada, Bahrain, and beyond.
The night began with a lively cocktail reception featuring a live “torcedor” table, champaign and cocktails, as well as offering guests the interactive experience of the “What’s Your Cigar Touchscreen Quiz” and digital photocall where memories of the evening could be captured.
Within this amazing frame and among the presentations of new Habanos releases, the next to come launch of Cohiba Wide Short into the markets of Cyprus and Middle East was introduced by Mr. Jorge Fernandez, Marketing Director of Promocigar, who took the stage to share with guests the details and creation process of this new Cuban mini cigar, before unveiling it through its launching video.
Following the great success of Short, which since its launch in 2016 has not stopped growing and breaking sales records, the Cuban mini cigars maintain their commitment to innovation from their most exclusive brand with a new format, longer (100 millimeters) and with a slightly thicker ring gauge (12.5 millimeters in diameter) than the Short format. A “wide” cigarillo, weighting around 2.7 grams, with all the flavour and aroma of Cohiba and the best Cuban tobacco, presented in the same type of modern packaging that was launched for the first time with Short, which in this case contains 6 cigarillos dressed with an elegant ring and wrapped in cellophane to protect it and preserve its quality. Guests were then encouraged to pair Cohiba Wide Short with a cocktail creation “the Kentucky Coffee”, created by Rastislav Kasar (2022 World Champion in Coffee – 2023 World Champion in Good Spirits), while accompanied by the melodic sounds of a live saxophone and piano.
The night went along seamlessly blended the worlds of premium cigars, culinary excellence and musical artistry.
