On the night of Thursday 2nd March, within the week dedicated to the 23rd Habano Festival, Cuban mini cigars were the stars of a special dinner organised in the evocative setting of the National Museum of Fine Arts in Havana.
A celebration, starred by Cohiba brand, dedicated to all the international distributors of Cuban mini cigars business, and organised by their commercial company and manufacturer, respectively Promocigar (Promotora de Cigarros S.L.) and ICT (Internacional Cubana de Tabacos S.A.). It was indeed a pleasant occasion for the most important professionals of the sector to meet in a suggestive location and enjoy good music, fun dances and haute cuisine, as well as to discover some news about Cuban mini cigars.
The night began with a welcome cocktail in the museum’s courtyard garden, enlivened by a photocall and a dice game that distributed prizes to the lucky winners. Then, the dinner began at tables arranged along the arcades of the building and around a large stage where a presenter guided the attendees through the surprises of the night.
One of them, probably the most eagerly awaited, was the official presentation of the new Cohiba Wide Short. A longer cigarillo and with a slightly wider gauge than the Short format, dressed in an elegant ring and presented in an innovative pack that highlights all the quality and exclusivity of the Cohiba brand. A new format in the Cuban mini cigars portfolio that will hit the market later this year and promises to be a new big success. The guests, while discovering its main attributes, staged by different shows of music, song and dance throughout the night, were able to taste it and enjoy its 100% Cuban flavour.
Another highlight of the event was the presentation of this new website and the debut of Cuban mini cigars on social networks, in particular on Instagram (@cubanminicigars) and Twitter (@cubanminicigars and @cubanmini_EN). Besides, during the night the annual business awards were assigned to distributors and retailers.
