Once again, Cuban mini cigars are present at the International Habano Festival, which this year celebrates its 25th edition, with one of the central stands at the Trade Fair, showcasing a large part of their extensive portfolio as well as upcoming limited editions.
On Monday, February 24, the Havana Convention Palace once again opened its doors to host the Trade Fair of its most iconic and renowned event — International Habano Festival that, in this 25th edition, has exceeded all attendance expectations, with 3,300 participants from 110 countries and the presence of 160 accredited journalists from around the world.
Promocigar (Promotora de Cigarros S.L.) and ICT (Internacional Cubana de Tabacos, S.A.), respectively the distributor and manufacturer of Cuban mini cigars, are once again participating jointly in the fair with a modern yet elegant stand, where they showcase their key portfolio products and upcoming releases that have not yet hit the market. Additionally, the stand features a coffee corner, easily recognizable by its attractive neon sign, where visitors can take a break to enjoy a cigarillo and a coffee.
On Monday, during the Trade Fair’s opening ceremony, Maritza Carrillo González and Luis Sánchez-Harguindey, co-presidents of Habanos S.A., stopped by the stand to explore the new products set to be released in the coming months, including limited-edition tin packaging developed for Montecristo, Partagás, and Romeo y Julieta in Mini and Club formats.
Throughout the week, thousands of visitors attending the festival at the Havana Convention Palace, Hotel Palco, will have the opportunity to participate in the event’s extensive program. At the Cuban mini cigars stand, they can also admire rare pieces, such as the limited editions that Cohiba and Montecristo Short have created to honour the Chinese Year of the Snake. For this occasion, both brands recently introduced a special humidor made of cedarwood, featuring a modern design and lacquered finish, containing 88 and 66 Short cigarillos, respectively—numbers that, according to Chinese culture, bring good luck.
As part of the XXV International Habano Festival, Cuban minis will not only be present with their stand at the Trade Fair but will also host La noche Cuban mini cigars on Thursday, February 27. This highly anticipated gala evening, dedicated to all their international distributors, promises an exciting surprise—one that remains a closely guarded secret for now.
