Anatomy of a Cuban mini cigar
Cuban mini cigars have three different parts:
Wrapper
it is the outer wrapper of the cigar; it fulfills its aesthetic function. It is made with thin and delicate leaves.
Binder
wraps the short filler and defines the shape of the cigar.
Short filler
it is the internal part of the cigar, its soul which defines its flavor and aroma.
The secret: the leaves
For the manufacture of our cigars, only excellent quality tobacco leaves are used.
For the short gut or bite
Each leaf of the plant is used in the cigar blending in greater or lesser quantity depending on the format in question with the aim of providing a certain characteristic.
Ligero
provide strength and flavour.
Volado
enhance combustibility.
Seco
give aroma nuances.
For the binder
Leaves from the lower part of the plant are used (binder) to wrap the short filler, providing, together with the filler, combustibility for the cigar.
For the wrapper
The leaves used for the wrappers are made of special quality. There are plants cultivated with exceptional care that are dedicated exclusively to the use of wrappers. Darker colored wrappers are obtained from the upper leaves of the plants, while lighter ones are obtained from the lower leaves.
