Cuban minis and Wine: Three must-do dates in November

November is synonymous with quality wine. During the first few days of the month, the calendar features several unmissable events for lovers of wine culture.  From the Sherry Wine Routes to masterclasses led by leading oenologists, we’ll reveal all the details of these events so you can enjoy them with your minis.

Often regarded as the prelude to the Christmas season, November offers much more than just changes in the weather and commemorations of historical dates. This month also puts wine in the spotlight through a variety of gastronomic events.

From tastings to exhibitions, these events offer unique experiences for fans of this century-old drink. Below, we recommend three unmissable events that provide the perfect opportunity to pair your favourite wines with your Cuban minis.

International Sherry Week

Every year, from 2 to 8 November, International Sherry Week brings together wine lovers from all over the world to celebrate Sherry. Over the course of a week, various countries organise gastronomic and cultural events to highlight the versatility and variety of these wines.

The 2026 edition, the thirteenth of this international event, will see more than 30 countries taking part, each organising their own ‘Sherry Routes’. These include events such as talks, pop-up experiences and all manner of gatherings in restaurants, bars and specialist wine shops.

On the event’s website, you can check out the ‘Sherry Route’ in your city, find recommendations for bottles to try, additional information and suggestions for food pairings. For this truly unique and versatile wine, we suggest pairing it with a cuban mini that complements its different varieties, such as the Romeo y Julieta Mini.

Decanter Fine Wine Encounter London

We’d like to suggest a second option: the Decanter Fine Wine Encounter London. This event is a must for lovers of fine wine, offering the chance to discover new wines, take part in masterclasses and meet experts from the wine industry from all over the world.

The 29th edition of the event will take place on 6 and 7 November in the iconic city of London. Its flagship event, the Grand Tasting, will feature producers from France, Italy, Spain, Argentina, Chile, South Africa and Greece, as well as others. Tickets are now on sale.

Given its exclusivity and sophistication, an event such as the Decanter Fine Wine Encounter London deserves a companion that is equally exceptional, both in flavour and elegance. To round off the experience, we recommend Cohiba White Club, a mini that adds a touch of distinction to this wine-tasting event.

35th Merano WineFestival

To round off this marathon of wine events, the 35th Merano Wine Festival is an unmissable highlight. This event, which has been held since 1992, takes place from 6 to 10 November at the Kurhaus, a historic Art Nouveau building situated in the heart of Merano, in northern Italy.

The festival brings together more than 800 exhibitors from all corners of the world: wineries, winemakers, sommeliers, critics and wine producers. As well as tasting the latest wines and picking up some unique bottles, you’ll be able to take part in masterclasses, discover new food and wine pairings and even enjoy live culinary demonstrations. All this takes place in a spectacular setting that lends the whole event a touch of luxury.

Based on the nature of the festival, we suggest you choose a mini cigar with a delicate flavour that will pair well with any type of wine. In this regard, the Montecristo Open Mini, with its modern design and soft to medium strength, will be the ideal accompaniment for this wine-tasting event.

If you’re a lover of fine wine, November is the month for you. From 2 to 10 November, three events invite you to discover and celebrate wine culture. These events offer an experience that goes beyond simply learning by tasting new wines, exploring different nuances and broadening your knowledge of wine allows you to discover new pairing possibilities with your favourite Cuban minis cigars.
